The Challenge
Thirteen Group are a social housing provider and developer providing homes for rent and sale. They own and manage 35,000 properties from North Tyneside to Yorkshire with the majority of homes for rent and sale in the Teesside area. Their objective was to make their air source heat pump units more aesthetically pleasing. The units are a light cream colour and are very ‘industrial’ looking and Sign Design GB were asked to find a solution to make them blend in more with the residential buildings which they are placed against.
The Solution
Following several site visits we established that using our in-house design teams skills and our advanced range of printing equipment, we could reproduce the visual of any material the units were placed against to help them blend in. The self-adhesive vinyl could be printed and wrapped around the air source units in the same way we would wrap a vehicle. Our knowledge and experience in selecting the appropriate materials to firstly print onto and then physically apply was a key factor here, as the nature of the job required the finished solution to not only look the part but stand the test of time against the elements.
The Results
The finished result was an air source heat pump unit which instead of looking out of place and unsightly against the properties blends in as much as is possible making it much more aesthetically pleasing for the tenants and visitors to the properties alike. Thirteen Group were delighted with the results and now regularly request the same style print and wrap to other air source units as and when required.
