The Challenge

Headlanders Netball Club, a local sports club, approached Sign Design GB with a pressing challenge: to modernise and professionalise their brand identity. The club recognised that their existing branding was outdated and lacked the visual appeal necessary to attract new members, sponsors, and supporters. They sought a comprehensive solution that would not only encompass a new logo but also extend to merchandise, vehicle graphics, and digital designs. The goal was to elevate their brand presence and enhance their reputation within the community.

The Solution

Sign Design GB embarked on a thorough discovery phase to understand the essence of Headlanders Netball Club and the aspirations behind their rebranding initiative. Collaborating closely with the club’s stakeholders, the design team gathered insights into the club’s values, target audience, and desired image.

With a clear understanding of the club’s identity and objectives, Sign Design GB developed a multifaceted solution. The first step was to create a new logo that would serve as the cornerstone of the rebranding effort. Drawing inspiration from the club’s spirit of unity, teamwork, and athleticism, the design team crafted a dynamic and modern logo that incorporated elements symbolising netball and community.

Once the logo was finalised and approved by the club, Sign Design GB proceeded to implement the new branding across various touchpoints. This included designing merchandise such as team uniforms, banners, and promotional materials featuring the new logo. Additionally, the team created eye-catching vehicle graphics to adorn the club’s transportation vehicles, effectively turning them into mobile advertisements for Headlanders Netball Club. Finally, digital designs were developed for the club’s website and social media profiles, ensuring a cohesive and professional brand presence across online platforms.

Throughout the process, Sign Design GB remained attentive to the club’s feedback and made refinements as necessary to ensure that the final deliverables fully met their expectations.

The Results

The rebranding initiative spearheaded by Sign Design GB yielded transformative results for Headlanders Netball Club. The introduction of the new logo and brand package breathed fresh life into the club’s identity, resonating strongly with both existing members and prospective stakeholders.

Overall, Sign Design GB’s innovative approach to rebranding has positioned Headlanders Netball Club for continued success, providing them with a strong foundation upon which to build their future endeavors and solidify their status as a leading force in the local sports community.

Interior Design

The Challenge

Sign Design GB were asked to assist with the design and procurement of the internal décor at the new Skills Academy, a 12-room building plus facilities over two floors at Teesworks. The concept of this brand-new cutting-edge facility was to help give the local people of the Tees Valley the best skills and training possible to enable them to take advantage of the new jobs that would be created on the Teesworks site.  The scope of works included signage, artworks, wall decorations, glass frosting, furniture, and branded elements along with wayfinding signage. The interior décor had to reflect the ambition and ethos of the Skills Academy with a nod to the history of the site complete with specific Teesworks branding wherever possible.

The Solution

We collaborated with the Facilities Manager at Teesworks to ensure that we understood the needs and requirements for each individual room. Some of the rooms are for educational purposes, whilst some are working occupied offices with breakout meeting areas for team planning and collaboration.
We mixed the wall decorations between digital wallpaper & wall graphics, artificial green walls and bespoke artworks on acrylic frameless boards. We were able to include inspirational messages alongside decorative artworks to ensure the correct ambience in each area. Having a keen understanding of the Teesworks branding was key in this becoming a success.
Loose furniture was sourced from UK manufacturers and the styling and design was considered for the application and budget set. Time was a consideration for this project therefore UK sourcing was essential to ensure the project came in on time and in budget.

The Results

The completed building is now open and is receiving visitors daily. The feedback relating to the facilities has been very positive. A good clean learning environment has been created as well as an excellent place to do business. Several promotional photoshoots have been completed at the premises as have a number of high-level meetings chaired by Ben Houchen, Tees Valley Mayor all with great feedback regarding the facility.

National Re-Brand

The Challenge

We were contacted by Altrad/Generation Hire who identified Sign Design GB as a suitable contractor and partner to work with them on a project to re-brand all 28 of their depots across the United Kingdom. A key aspect as set out by the client was ensuring brand consistency throughout all locations as well as ensuring quality products were used to achieve a high-quality finish.

The Solution

Due to our national coverage Sign Design GB can provide and fit our full range of products across Great Briton, so no outsourcing in terms of material production or labour was required; this was key in terms of meeting the clients expectations. We were able to establish a vinyl colour match with the Altrad red from their brand guidelines at the early part of the design process which enabled us to confidently replicate signage solutions from one location to another with absolute consistency. Further to this several core signs were agreed with the client to be rolled out to every depot which were specifically branded and sized for installation in specific locations on sites. Due to our own staff being utilised to install these products, specified fixings and mounting holes were able to be replicated perfectly from one sign to the next.

The Results

Following completion of the depots the results look fantastic, and the client was delighted with both the finished effect and turnaround time in which they were delivered. Strong branding and consistency throughout different locations ensures that whichever depot you arrive at you know and recognise it as an Altrad/Generation Hire location. The nature of the signage utilised enabled us to remove some surplus signage which has in turn cleaned and freshened up the look and feel of the depots with now clear directional signage and information available at a glance to both staff and visitors.
